on the road to Kalimantan Indigenous Film Festival (KIFF2019) - a film festival that brings appreciation for the indigenous communities that are voicing their “stories that matter” through film, there will be 24 indigenous films from Indonesia and Asia.
Youth Act Kalimantan presents “YOUTH FORUM”
What is Youth Forum?
Youth Forum is a platform initiated by Youth ACT for the young people in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan to gather and voice their ideas. The place for youth to discuss together and plan for real ACTION regarding issues on social, culture and environment.
In Youth Forum, there will be;

open stage for video screening, traditional music and dance performances
“Stories That Matter”: DISCOVERING MY ROOTS
The younger generation is often considered to represent the future. They are also the custodians of Indigenous heritage and tradition.
In this age where modernism has infiltrated indigenous communities in many ways, many young people are disconnected to their culture.
This is the time for the youth to discover their ‘roots’ - indigenous culture and heritage. It’s time learn and understand what is the meaning of the indigenous identity.
