"Until you dig a hole, you plant a tree, you water it and make it survive, you haven't done a thing. You are just talking."

2022 is the fourth year of #TreePlanting movement initiated under The Heartland Project, an effort to restore burned forest areas. Since 2019, 4,300 youth all across Indonesia have joined the movement. 10,500 trees have been planted.

In commemoration of International Day of Forests 2022, Youth Act Network campaigned for One Tree One person and encouraged people to plant trees. In Palangka Raya, 3,000 baby trees provided by Youth Act with support from BPDAS Kahayan and Women Earth Alliance. On 19-21 March 2022, there are 12 communities joined the movement and total 3,500 trees have been planted.

Following the Youth Act slogan, “We are only ordinary people who refuse to do nothing”, we always encourage everyone to take action. Even the smallest act can make a difference. Let’s continue to plan the trees. Let’s make Kalimantan green again.
