KALIMANTAN INDIGENOUS FILM FESTIVAL is coming back!
We enter the month of August with delight and so much gratitude. Once more, the indigenous communities show the world their fortitude and strength. Alongside global communities, we Dayaks celebrate our identity and heritage with hope for brighter days to come.
There are more stories that need to be told.
There are more voices that need to be heard.
Therefore, with grateful hearts, we would like to invite you to celebrate with us during our two-day festival, August 21-22, 2020. Twenty filmmakers will join us in panel discussions and workshops, with fifteen hours of screening time.

OUR VOICES SHOULD NOT BE BURIED!
As you may already know, the theaters in Indonesia have been closed. We decided to move to online screenings and provide free live streaming for all to access. Many of the indigenous filmmakers in our network are affected by the pandemic. They need to work harder to earn money and barely have time to do filming. We do not want this pandemic to bury the voices of these communities. We need to support filmmakers so that they can continue documenting their stories and producing videos.
Moreover, for the festival this year, we have not sold tickets and have no sponsors. Since we are providing the audience with free access, we need you to help us raise funding.
Our goal is to raise $2,000. $1,000 will support the indigenous filmmakers in our filmmaking community, and another $1,000 will be used to cover the operational costs of the festival. This includes the organic community products we order as gifts for guest filmmakers and performers. We already raised $500, but we need another $1,500 to reach our target by the end of this month.
If you are able to donate, you can do so through our Paypal account or a bank transfer.
THANK YOU!
