The COVID-19 pandemic has a very significant impact in various aspects of life including education. Schools throughout Indonesia are required to implement an Online School policy in order to break the chain of transmission of this virus. However, it turns out that this policy presents a new challenge, especially in remote areas that do not have internet signal access such as Talekoi Village, Kab. South Barito, Central Kalimantan. Seeing these challenges and problems, Ranu Welum Foundation with the support of UNESCO and AIYP created an initiative called SMART VOICE / Smart Voice. This initiative was jointly designed with teachers at SDN Talekoi which then produced an offline digital learning device consisting of teacher voice recordings and module books. The SMART Voice device is expected to be an alternative solution for areas without signal access so that they can carry out learning from home system while also solve other problems occurred in term of social and economic sectors. This solution is also expected to be replicated and implemented in other regions throughout Indonesia.
