International Indigenous Film Festival is coming to Kuching, Sarawak on July 5-7, 2020.
The theme for this RWMF Fringe: KIIFF2020 is “Indigenous Arising” — Show Yourself; Every indigenous person is to be brave, proud and confident to show him/herself to the world through films.
ELIGIBILITY
Films must cover Indigenous issues (rights, culture, tradition & wisdom, folk story, etc).
At least one of the main crew (director/producer/editor/camera) is indigenous.
Indigenous casts
English Subtitles on film.
Films in MP4 format & 1080p resolution.
Produced within 2018 - 2020
No racism, stigma, or nudity content.

REWARDS
Selected films will be showcased at RWMF Fringe: Kuching International Indigenous Film Festival.
Selected films will be nominated for Kuching IIFF 2020 AWARDS for BEST DOCUMENTARY, BEST SHORT VIDEO, BEST FEATURE FILM, and BEST YOUNG INDIGENOUS FILMMAKER. Each winner will be rewarded with: trophy, certificate, RM2,000 and international publication.
All selected films will also receive a certificate as an official selection.
Filmmakers will be invited to attend the Kuching International Indigenous Film Festival (KIIFF) 2020 in Sarawak, Malaysia. (Accommodations provided)
Selected films will be recommended for Bali International Indigenous Film Festival (BIIFF) 2020 & other international screenings.
